Neli Plouzian is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (1-16-24431) who has over 10 years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Neli graduated from the University of California, Riverside with her Bachelors in Psychology in 2013 and graduated from California State University, Northridge with her Masters in Science, Applied Behavior Analysis in 2016. Shortly after, in November 2016 Neli acquired her Board Certification.
For as long as she can remember Neli’s passion has been to work with children. No matter their ability or age Neli prides herself in the work she has done over the last 10 years with the children she has had the pleasure of working with. From a classroom environment to the home setting, Neli focuses on individualizing the learning experience and creating an environment within which children are challenged, loved, and cared for.
Neli’s educational and professional expertise are in the areas of development, communication, facilitating socialization, programming for areas of gross and fine motor development, and teaching academic skills to a variety of children with varying developmental needs. Neli specializes in running different developmental assessments to determine any possible developmental delays/needs and specializes in addressing and programming for these delays with an individualized approach/technique. Finally, Neli uses only evidence-based methods to teach both students on an individual, group, and settings.
Neli strongly believes that all professionals working with children must continue to grow and use the most effective teaching strategies and techniques to provide the highest quality teaching experience to all students. She has many years of training experience, with the pleasure of training different paraprofessional ranging from Classroom Teachers (both general education and special education), Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Therapists, other and Behavior Analysts.
Most importantly, Neli believes that a child’s academic experience is maximized when the school and home unit are in collaboration with one another. She encourages and reinforces parent meeting to discuss the accomplishments as well as the areas of need for each child.
